Gathering Your Photos
Get started by gathering the photos you would like to include in your photobook. The following are some guidelines to consider.
- For the best print quality, we recommend you send us the full-size, original photos directly from your computer.
- The following table offers some guidelines for the minimum recommended photo size for a full-page photo:

However realize that these sites often resize photos before uploading. For best results, we must have access your full-size, original photos.
- Budget on average 3-4 photos per page, so a 20 page photobook will require about 60-80 photos.
- Note: We only process photos in the JPG file format.
Uploading Photos
To make our uploads easy and reliable, Snaphappi has chosen to use the FireUploader plug-in for the Firefox 3 browser. FireUploader offers many convenient features to upload tens or 1000s of photos:
- uploads photos in the background so it won't slow you down
- side-by-side local and remote folder views to let you to easily control your uploads
- a "drop box" feature which allows you to drag-n-drop photos or folders from Windows Explorer
- a progress meter to show status of your file transfers
- the ability to skip previously uploaded files
- and most importantly, pause and restart buttons to make sure your uploads finish successfully.
FireUploader also supports direct uploads to many other popular sites, such as Google Picasaweb, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, and more.
Get StartedSorting Photos (optional)
If you haven't picked out your favorite photos, don't worry. We also offer photo sorting services to find your hidden gems. Send us ALL your photos and we'll help you find the best ones.
- We use a multi-pass sorting process that is carefully designed to help us pick out the top 20% of your unsorted photos.
- Our editors focus on beautiful smiles and happy faces.
- We make a special effort to sort through groups of repetitive photos, picking out ones where everyone looks their best.

Bookmaking
Our bookmakers will organize your photos and place them into attractive page layouts.
- We assemble layouts page-by-page to tell your story.
- Each page may include from 1 to 12 photos, depending on the photos. On average, expect 3-4 photos per page.
- For best results, every photo will be image enhanced and cropped by hand. We also remove redeye as necessary.
- Please specify in advance if you prefer page layouts which save room for page titles and/or photo captions. You will have an opportunity to provide the titles/captions at the "Review" stage.
- We do our best to include as many photos as possible in your photobook while staying within your budget. But please understand that page layout limitations may prevent us from including them all.
Book Options
- MyPublisher offers many different sizes, styles, colors and cover options for their books. Details can be found here: http://www.mypublisher.com/photobooks.php
- Book options such as cover material/color, cover jackets, etc. will be selected after the review but before final ordering and payment.
Book Sizes
- Your photobook will be designed for an intial size which you specify. (see above for options).
- Books can always be printed smaller, but the quality of the photos may suffer if books are printed bigger than the intended size.
Review
You always get a chance to review the finished product before payment and ordering.
- When the book is ready, you’ll receive an email from our account at MyPublisher.com with an online link to preview your photobook.
- You can preview your photobook online from our MyPublisher Bookshelf.

- You may choose or change your cover photo separately
- You may email us to make any changes or additions, if necessary
Captions
- Now is your chance to add page captions if you specified that in your order (see Bookmaking).
- If you wish to add page captions, send them to us by email. Be sure to provide a page number for each caption.
- Not all page layouts reserve space for page captions. We may need to rearrange the photos on a page to include captions.
- You'll have another opportunity to review your book with captions in place.
Pricing
The final price of your book will contain 2 parts:
- our bookmaking and optional sorting fee, and
- printing and delivery charges from MyPublisher.com.
Bookmaking
- Our standard fee for bookmaking is $30 for the first 20 pages, and $1 per page thereafter.
- This price includes image enhancement and cropping for all photos.
Sorting (optional)
- Send us all your photos. We'll sort through them and find the hidden gems at the rate of 2 cents per photo (i.e. $20 per 1000 photos). This price includes a separate download of sorted photos to your computer.

Payment
Payment is due only when you are completely satisfied with the preview of your book.

Re-ordering
- Once the initial order has been placed, you are free to reorder that same book directly from MyPublisher.com. You pay only the MyPublisher price. (see Pricing example above)
- We can also place orders for variations of the same book with MyPublisher.com (i.e. smaller size or different colors). Again, you pay only the MyPublisher price.
